Sketchpad was an innovative system developed in by Ivan Sutherland as part of his PhD thesis. It is a tribute to Sketchpad's uniqueness that it defined a GUI Graphical User Interface more than 20 years before the term was first used. The computer was very advanced for its time and had kb main memory, an 8Mb magnetic tape storage device, a 7 inch x monitor, a light pen and a button box. As with most computers of that era, programs were written in macro-assembler, punched onto paper tape and fed into the computer's paper tape reader. Sketchpad's most incredible breakthroughs were in the way that it allowed the user to interact with the computer: the light pen was used to draw directly on the computer's monitor and incorporated graphical user interface techniques such as rubber-banding of lines and zooming, rubber-banded lines could be constrained to always intersect at a precise angle, an advanced memory architecture was developed that allowed the creation of master objects and "instances" which were very memory efficient copies of the masters, the master-instance concept allowed the creation of a master drawing and then duplicates to be created which would inherit properties of the objects in the master drawing unless they were locally changed, if the master drawing was changed then the changes would automatically be propogated through the instances in any duplicates.

The history of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM)

Max Lempriere Nov 21, Universities and supervisors often assume that PhD students know how to structure their PhD theses. But often this assumption is false, which can cause considerable headache and uncertainty. It can also waste a lot of time and money as you engage in a process of trial and error working out what goes where. Many of these are great, and I highly recommend you check them out, but here I want to present to you a thesis structure lesson.

Max Lempriere Feb 12, There are a lot of posts that talk about how to write an abstract. Most say that you should write your abstract to impress your examiner. When you apply for your first academic job, the abstract may be the only part of your thesis that your new boss will read.

However I always trust in people, so I made an order just hoping I wont get a second-rate service.

My favorite writer was busy but I emailed support agents to see whether he was going to be available at all and they replied quickly enough and even asked him to check my order.

I am a resident doctor and this course is particularly helpful for doctors pursuing a research career! Love it and highly recommend it!

As if it is not enough to have to complete research work, the huge amounts of written work teachers set students means they never get time for anything but studies.

The references were added at the end of the article and it was very helpful to know the project better.
